Minutes of the Board of Directors for the USGenWeb Census Project

Meeting held 19 April 2001 via Internet using mIRC  beginning at 19:12 EST
and ending at 20:57 EST.

Present:
    Wayne Duncan, President
    Ron Eason, Vice President
    Veda Mendoza, Secretary/Treasurer
    Sue Soden and Connie Burkett

A quorum being present the meeting was called to order by Wayne Duncan

There were no officer, board or standing committee reports.

There were no special orders addressed.

OLD BUSINESS:

    Wayne Duncan reported that the Public Relations Account was ready.
    Motion 2001-04 was made to provide Lil with the ftp information for the
    "What's New" pages. The motion passed with no discenting votes.

NEW BUSINESS:

    We discussed the Virginia Tax List email forwarded from Sandy Onbey.
    Connie Burkett will make contact for the Board. We agreed to try to
    keep Sandy Onbey in the "loop."

    Some teams wish to have images uploaded temporarily whil transcribing
    and proofing. We agreed to do this and provide the URL to the team
    members only. The pages will not be linked to the Index Page.

    Sue reported that she had contacted Tim Stowell as our elected Census
    Project Representative. She protested his solicitation of a
    representative from the other project. Sue reported that the
    conversation ended on good terms. The Board expressed their support for
    her actions as our elected representative.
