Lincoln, WV 1900 Federal Census http://ftp.us-census.org/pub/usgenweb/census/wv/lincoln/1900/ =================== DESCENDANT'S NOTEs: =================== NOTE from Wanda Collins Sprinkle, grand-daughter of John Henry and Carrie Alice Midkiff Barbour, and daughter of Hattie Adith Barbour Collins. Enumeration District 46, Sheridan District Stamped page 295A, Sheet 11A John H. Barbour household, lines 6 through 13. The Enumerator recorded the spelling of my grandparents as Barber. This incorrect spelling is common on people's part and has caused a lot of genealogical problems. The correct spelling is Barbour. John Henry and Carrie Alice Midkiff Barbour were my grandparents. My mother, not in this census, was their next to youngest child and born in 1905. Maggie is listed as 3/12 years old and I think that should be 3 1/2 years. They were from Cabell County and went back to live some time before 1905 until their deaths, John in 1928 and Carrie in 1944. They lived in an area called Martha sometimes referred to as Inez and McComas. Their address was Route 1 (now called Malcolm Road), Barboursville, WV.
