Bounded by: Bayou De Glaize, beginning at the mouth of said Bayou and running up main branch thereof to the Bluff road, near the Handy old place, and running thence in a southwesterly direction on said road to where it crosses the Section line between Sections 20 and 21; thence south on the said line to the township line between townships 20 and 21; thence west on said line to Black Bayou; thence up said Bayou to Horse Bayou; thence down said Bayou to Bayou Bartholomew; thence up said Bayou to the mouth of Bayou De Glaize. Bastrop town. Taking the center of the Court House as a center; thence north one half mile; thence west one half mile; thence south one mile, thence east one mile; thence north one mile; thence west one half mile to the place of beginning

The corporate limits form one square mile, having as a center the southwest corner of Section 45; the north lines and the south lines of the town run north nine and one half degrees east, and the east and west lines run south eight and one half degrees east.
